The Kane Firm is a growing public accounting and business consulting firm which prides itself on providing clients a high level of service, attention and care. We have an immediate opening for a full- or part-time Public Accountant.
The firm is looking for an experienced accounting professional to prepare client books and records along with entity, personal returns in a comfortable Williamsville office. The ideal candidate possesses the capability to analyze complex data, work with a diverse group of people to further the goals of the company and offer solutions to pressing tax issues. Flexible hours are available. The job location is Buffalo, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of client books and records for financial statement and tax preparation
- Preparation of thorough easy-to-follow work papers
- Accurate and efficient preparation and review of personal and entity returns (C-Corps, S-Corps, Partnerships, Multi-State, etc.) in compliance with current tax laws
- Maintain current knowledge of evolving tax law, regulations and financial accounting requirements
- Conduct ad hoc tax research
- Proactively interact with key client management to gather information, resolve tax- and book-related issues, and make recommendations for business and process improvements
- Gain understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- CPA or EA ideal
- Personal and entity tax preparation experience required; 5+ years required
- Experience with Ultratax software is a plus
- Tax Return Review Experience is a plus
